Good day!! My name is Dr M Gibango and I will be your anaesthestist and to give you an idea of your upcomming procedure.
This is a short message just to introduce myself to you and to give you an idea of what to expect.
The most important thing is to organise transport to and from the hospital. After anaesthesia you will not be able to drive yourself home so make sure you have someone to help
I often ask that you do not eat or drink anything 8 hours before the procedure. This is very important.
While you are under, your stomach relaxes and may cause you to vomit during the procedure. This may lead to choking so please take this advice seriously.
I also ask that you to not wear make-up and nail polish. This is so I can see your skin to make sure you are not having any adverse reactions to the anaesthetic.
If you are on any medications, even if it is an aspirin or a vitamin supplement or herbal remedy, please tell us when we call or see you. The more information we have the easier it is to make your procedure as easy and comfortable as possible.
There is an admin fee of R200.00 to be paid before admission to the hospital (at specialist pratice).
Please confirm with your medical aid if they received my account after the procedure.
The cost of the procedure is time-based and may change as a result of unforseen circumstances and unexpected complications.
You are personally responsible for payment and not your medical scheme. Your medical scheme may not cover the full amount on your account, depending on the medical scheme and the plan/option which you have chosen.
Thank you in advance, I look forward to seeing you in person.
